*NOTE: This quiz will cover the words ALIENATE to PENSIVE. It will be used to evaluate student knowledge of definitions, related forms, parts of speech, synonyms/antonyms, and their ability to make inferences and use context clues when completing sentences.

*NOTE: This important Duval County Public Schools mandated examination is being administered to ALL 9th and 10th grade Language Arts students. This test, which will be taken during students' scheduled English period, should take up half of the class period, so they are URGED to be present for the administration. An absence will require students to schedule a re-take. Parents, though students are unable to 'study' for the test, they are encouraged to take it seriously and do their best.

*NOTE: This will be a suprise quiz, meaning, the students should expect a quiz designed to evaluate their knowledge of these literary terms (i.e. plot, setting, figurative language, etc.) each day. This quiz WILL NOT be announced. Students are URGED to begin studying in-class notes and handouts.
