'Love of a Student'
I did not know what this feeling was,
All I knew was how I felt
A single minded man, blind I was,
Blind of the true fact that she did not love me,
I took on the face of a man that had just been married,
I was elated,
For I had escaped the realm of sadness and depression,
The realm that held me prisoner for three months,
A new face replaced the old,
I now had someone else's to hold in my hands,
Left and right I eluded a beleaguer of my peers,
I searched high and low until I found my love,
I could not help but smile,
Her beauty brought me new life,
There we stood at the window covered wall,
I started to speak, but she put her finger upon my lips,
Like a fool I stood, waiting for my love to speak,
She pulled a piece of paper from her pocket,
The paper that would be the end,
I hastily unfolded it only to see two words,
It's Over,
I had done nothing wrong, but still it ended here,
I tried to stay calm but the tears welled up in my eyes,
To give a man new life and then break him down, that is the power of love.
