In addition to submitting a copy of your selected Poetry Recitation Project Poem on 3/6 [A], 3/7 [B] you must submit a printed biography of your selected poet. This means, for this this year's project I am not accepting 'anonymous' poets. All poems selected MUST be written by a published poet that I can easily research.
You must attach the biography of the poet to the back of the poem submission on 3/6 [A], 3/7 [B]; failure to submit a biography will result in a disqualification of your submission.
Also, please read the project guide; it clearly states that poems MUST be between 20-30 lines...no more, no less. I will not approve poems under 20 lines, or over 30 lines. This rule is not flexible.
Here are the type specification rules for your poem submission:
1. 11-12 point Times New Roman, Ariel, or Calibri font
2. Poem must retain the poet's original formatting...do not change or modify lines and stanzas.
3. The poet's name must appear beneath the poem's title; the poem's title must be in bold and in quotations.
4. The topic that you selected must appear in the upper right hand corner.
Here is a model* (your submission should look EXACTLY like this):
*note: since this poem is being used as a model you may not use it as a submission piece.
