1. Read Part 2: Stories of Love and Adventure of Mythology by Edith Hamilton; annotate the text as you read. DUE 12/18
2. Begin reading and annotating your copy of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Prose fiction analysis outlines will be assigned for each part of this text. I will have copies next class period or you can access the PDF copy now in the Schoology MC.
3. Review the SAT Vocabulary concepts (e.g. suffix endings, roots, types of context clues).
4. Read the handouts on American Realism. Know the characteristics. BE PREPARED TO DISCUSS THEM.
5. Read the Ambrose Bierce author study texts: (1) “Three and One are One” (Bierce) and (2) “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge” (Bierce); please annotate BOTH texts using the prose fiction terms and concepts sheet that was given to you.

6. Complete another Achieve 3000 assignment at home using the username and password information given to you. Pick any article and read it using reading comprehension strategies. Then, complete the assigned questions for the article. You MUST score 75% or higher on the assigned questions.
